Why I coach

My Why

The gym didn't just change my body. It changed everything after it.

Through every life change — jobs, friendships, relationships, living situations, my mental health, and so much more — the one constant was the gym. It was always there. A place to ease my mind when things got hard, and to celebrate when I won. The one place that gave back exactly what I put into it. The one place that never changed, even when everything else did.

It became my healthy way to cope — and it always rewarded me for showing up. Along the way, I learned to trust myself, and to trust the process. It became a lifestyle. The kind you never regret picking up, even when it's hard at first. The kind you want to pass down, generation after generation.

Fitness gave me confidence I didn't have before — the kind that shows up in how you carry yourself, not just how you look. It made me happier, more grounded, and more myself than I'd ever been.

None of that happened because I already knew what I was doing. I didn't. I started as a beginner, unsure of what to do or whether I was doing it right — the exact place so many of the women I coach are starting from now.

I built HJKfitness because I want other women to have that same space — somewhere consistent to come back to, and a healthy way to cope, when it feels like they have none. Not just a better body — a place to rebuild trust with yourself, and build confidence that shows up in everything else.

It's more than working out. It's a gateway to a better life.

If that's what you're looking for, I'd love to work with you.
